Kay Rozea grew up in rural CT and later moved to the metro Atlanta area in the mid-‘80s. She spent her decades long career in information technology but was always involved with creative arts which included a long time passion for landscape design, sketching and watercolor painting.
After retiring, she discovered that 3D art forms interested her more and went back to her love of fabric when she took up quilting. Soon after that, she “met” her first GOURD at an Atlanta art festival and has been hooked ever since.
She was fortunate to discover the GA Gourd Society which led her to a group of local gourders who meet monthly to share inspiration and techniques.
Kay’s gourd work includes wood burning, carving, painting, beading, coiling with waxed threads and pine needles using a variety of gourd shapes.
