I was born at a young age when it was fashionable and raised on St. Pete Beach in the 1950s. My folks provided me with art lessons until finishing high school locally. While attending U.S.F. in Tampa, I got married and changed my major from Graphic Arts to Political Science. (I couldn’t raise a family as a starving artist). Still wanting to be an artist I began seriously painting and drawing again three years ago.
My paintings are inspired by countless works I’ve viewed at the Ringling (Sarasota), Dali (St. Pete), National Gallery (D.C.), High Museum (Atlanta), Art Institute (Chicago), The Huntington (San Marino) and the Getty (L.A.).
